History
In 1959, the Khoon Foh Company, a family
owned hardware store was established in
Kuala Belait. Through these early days, the
name “Khoon” became synonymous to hardware as Brunei witnessed rapid expansion through the development of the oil and gas industry. The Khoon Foh Company was always a devoted supplier to the development cause.
The year 1966 saw two new branches
opened in Seria and Bandar Seri Begawan
as operations expanded to cover the entire
country.
Present
Khoon Fatt is a well established company
and one of the largest of its kind in Brunei.
Based in the petroleum capital of Kuala
Belait, Khoon Fatt operates through
business units which deal primarily in;
Hardware Supplies for;
• Marine Construction, Fabrication and
Maintenance
• Marine Vessel Maintenance
• Drilling and Related Services
• Building and Construction
• General Retail
In addition to this, Scan Plus, a business
unit with interests in Parking Management
Systems is also active in South East Asia.
A team of 31 dedicated staff are employed
to ensure a reliable work force is always at
hand to meet customer needs.
With a strong emphasis on customer
service, reliability and financial
performance, the company places high
priorities in regards to operations and
management.
In 1970 the first Malaysian branch
was opened in the town of Miri in Sarawak. Management decisions resulted
in the establishment of Khoon Fatt in 1977 to better service the Kuala
Belait area and from that time on, Khoon Fatt Hardware has been one of
the largest and consistently ranked highly in regards to reputation. In
1990, Scan Plus, a parking management company with operations in
Singapore and Malaysia was integrated under the Khoon Fatt name in
efforts to diversify.
Today, Khoon Fatt Hardware is headed up
by brothers John and Joseph Chin who are
supported by dedicated staff to ensure
Khoon Fatt remains at the top of hardware
supplies in Brunei.
As we enter the 21st century, Khoon Fatt is
seeking to improve its current stance in its
core field of hardware supplies in the
Bruneian business environment. With a
comprehensive stock of over 14,000 items,
we meet a variety of needs throughout our
dynamic market. With this approach in
product range and know how, Khoon Fatt
aims to cement its stronghold of the
Bruneian market.
